Teaching within different communities and festivals has really shaped Dona’s style where it can be silly and committed at the same time! Dona has been lucky enough to experience varied forms of yoga that have helped her in my own spiritual growth. What is Nia? Nia is a sensory-based movement practice that draws from martial arts, dance arts and healing arts. It empowers people of all shapes and sizes by connecting the body, mind, emotions and spirit. Classes are taken barefoot to soul-stirring music in more than 45 countries. Trainings teach people how to get in their body, learn about The Body's Way and cultivate body-centered awareness. Every experience can be adapted to individual needs and abilities. Step into your own joyful journey with Nia, and positively shape the way you feel, look, think and live.
What is the Nia Experience? The Nia experience is how we describe the sensation of taking a Nia class. Typically Nia classes include 55 minutes of movement to diverse music. Every Nia class has 7 Cycles beginning with a focus and intent. Every class offers a unique combination of 52 moves that correspond with the main areas of the body: base, core and upper extremities. Stiff beginners and highly fit athletes alike can adapt Nia to meet their needs by choosing from three intensity levels.
How does Nia work? Nia has 52 moves that optimize the body's natural design. Nia choreography is body-centered and allows practitioners to connect to nine diverse movement styles: Tai Chi, Tae Kwon Do, Aikido, jazz dance, modern dance, Duncan dance, yoga, Alexander Technique and Teachings of Moshe Feldenkrais. Nia classes balance form with freedom encouraging people to personalize the movements making choices for pleasure and comfort.
Brigita discovered Nia practice in 2003 at my fitness centre and found it to be very different and surprisingly challenging. Nia was facilitated by Anna Schantz. Her passion, impeccability and dedication to the practice as well as the JOY of movement. With practice, Brigita started relationship with my Body. Through the practice of EFT she began to clear the thoughts that we're disabling and heart shattering. She was realizing that life responds to me and that she harnessed the power within to change and create the life she once never thought possible!

Climate Justice -- How to Build a Movement with Christale Snail
Scientific consensus has been reached regarding the effects of neo-liberal globalization and industrial capitalism on the well being of this planet and all the creatures which inhabit it.
Our fossil fuel dependent life styles, along with all other forms of extractivism which promote a culture dependent on materialism, is polluting our air, killing our soil, and poisoning our water.
It does not give voice or space to the rights and traditions of Indigenous peoples. It does not take into consideration this worlds most vulnerable individuals who are being placed against their will in increasing danger.
Rooted in solidarity and resistance, the climate justice movement is beginning but it needs your help to be built into one our governments cannot ignore.
This workshop is will discuss the basic causes and impacts of climate change, resistance initiatives being organized (with a major focus on Montreal), the global justice movement, and explore as a community how we can build our own which can be sustained beyond the festival.
Christale Terris was born in Sudbury, Ontario but now lives in Montreal, Quebec. They spend their spare time having adventures, engaging in conversation, and learning how to organize around social justice initiatives.

Cool tool that measures melting point of substances. Pure molecules have very precise melting points and most are well documented. This can be used in conjunction with reagent tests as a semi-quantitative test. The closer the substance is to the melting point the more pure it is. http://www.smartific.com/hotbox-p-915.html
This workshop will be presented by current Trip! Project peers in the community who know all about testing kits & drug purity!

It can be anything you need to let go of in life to better make space for what does serve you. Example: I let go of self doubt and self criticism. These pieces of paper will be tied to the sacred fire and lit during the fire ceremony. As we watch them burn into nothing, we will feel the release of what does not serve us and feel the space made for new positive affirmations.

If you practice yoga to help with dancing it creates stability when needed and openness where there are blockages. If you incorporate dance into your yoga it becomes more vulnerable and creative.

Inner smile with Tristan Ford
The inner smile is an ancient Taoist meditation which works to integrate mind, breath, and body by connecting to our bodies interior and sharing a smile within ourselves. Just imagine for a moment the warm, pleasant feeling of exchanging a genuine smile with someone. In this meditation, we turn that feeling inside and smile inward, helping us to transform stresses and unwanted emotions into vitality, and to gather and circulate it throughout our bodies

Cannabis has been used by humans for tens of thousands of years, and yet to many remains a mystery! Come join us as we discuss the history of cannabis, and its wide and vast variety of uses from pharmacological to agricultural to industrial. Come and learn the finer points of the many ways of extracting the specific elements of Cannabis, and learn the ins and outs of the new "dabbing" trend involving these concentrated cannabinoids.
Xiv has been a cannabis enthusiast for the past 7 years, and have learned a lot in my time helping a wide variety of patients finding the medicine that is right for them. Last year he won first and third place in Canada for best Extracts, and later worked for a phizer subsidiary to create a non-intoxicating cannabis-based medicine to treat epileptic patients. To this day he continues to explore new methods and processes for specifically extracting cannabinoids, and creating more effective medicines.

Dancing Freedom with Eliza Grace
Dancing Freedom is an intentional, shamanic, somatic, expressive, healing experience for personal growth and healing community. We begin with an overall theme and then gather as a circle to set individual intentions, then we move through a 60-75 minute dance wave moving through embodying the elements (earth, water, fire, air, and ether.) Then the facilitator guides the dancers to harvest messages from our bodies, hearts, and higher self. Then if there is time, we do what is called "inner dance" and everyone picks a partner, shares feedback from their dance, and then half of the group dances while their partners hold space for them during a 5 minute dance to recap their experience - then they harvest 3 medicine words for themselves, and the witness does the same to share with the partner. Then the partners switch and do the same. Finally, we gather as a circle again and share our experiences.
This modality has been taught at festivals all over the west coast including several years at Burning Man. It was created as a way to create community and an experience of oneness through movement. The music use is electronic dance music that flows through the elements as well.
You can check out more information at dancingfreedom.com
Eliza received Dancing Freedom training in April of this year in Southern Oregon, and is LOVING facilitating the classes in Buffalo, NY.

LIFE AS WE KNOW IT with Cameron Tingley
LIFE AS WE KNOW IT: Filmmaker/visual humourist Cameron Tingley presents his series of short live-action films and shares his observations of modern society. Themes include the environment, media awareness, and social civility. Step back from the hubbub of daily life to look at modern society with fresh eyes. It will make you laugh, think, and wonder, all at the same time. A discussion will follow each film.
CAMERON TINGLEY was born and raised in London, Ontario where he began a life-long interest in filmmaking. His father was an editorial cartoonist, and when Cameron began making live-action movies as a teenager he unconsciously adopted a similar technique using whimsical and playful imagery to portray his observations of society. He has continued for many years to produce short films that have a humourous, low-tech charm and his efforts have been rewarded with numerous screenings and awards throughout North America, Europe and Australia.
On a more pragmatic level, Cameron functions as a freelance film editor and post-production supervisor in the Toronto film and television industry.
